Casuarina winger Tyrone Boucher is the second nominee for the 2015 Bendigo Bank/NT Rugby Union Rising Star award.
After three matches in Reserve Grade which yielded three tries Boucher was elevated into the Cougar’s First Grade side for their Round Six match against University.
Solid on debut the confident youngster scored the first of the Cougars five tries that afternoon and has held his spot for subsequent matches against Palmerston and Darwin Dragons.
The Bendigo Bank/NT Rugby Union Rising Star Award recognises young players who have not turned 18 by the 1st of January when they make their starting debut in First Grade.
After relocating to Darwin from the Brisbane last year Boucher will travel to NSW later this month with the Northern Territory Schoolboy Squad for the National Championships.
Fellow Bendigo Bank/NT Rugby Union Rising Star nominee Thomas Roe from Palmerston will also line-up for the Schoolboys at the Nationals.
